Andrew Walter is Reader in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Research Associate in the Department of Management at the LSE, and Academic Director of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA programme.
His academic research and teaching focuses on the interaction between international politics and economics and he specialises in the political economy of international monetary and financial issues.
Mr Walter has written three books in this field and a number of articles and chapters on issues such as global financial regulation, technology policies, regionalism, and international investment treaties. He is currently writing a fourth book with Professor Rosemary Foot (Oxford) on the US and China in the global order.
Mr Walter worked for JP Morgan in the late 1980s. He has been a visiting Professor at Melbourne Business School, University of Southern California, University of British Columbia, International University of Japan, and the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (Singapore).
