Summary

Charles Emmerson is the author of The Future History of the Arctic (Random House, 2010) and senior fellow at Chatham House. Born in Australia, he grew up in London. After graduating top of his class from The University Oxford in modern history he was awarded an Entente Cordiale scholarship to study politics and law at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. Since then he has worked for the International Crisis Group, as an associate director of the World Economic Forum and head of their Global Risks' Team. He is also an independent adviser on geopolitical, environment and energy issues.
