Security Guidelines for Members Events

• No bags, suitcases or rucksacks may be left unattended anywhere at Chatham House, other than under the main staircase on the lower ground floor.
• Members must show their membership card on entering Chatham House.
• Members who have not yet received their membership card must print off and present their welcome email confirming their membership number and bring photo ID. Members who have lost their cards can purchase a new one (for £6) by emailing their request to Membership Team.
• New Corporate Member nominees and Open Ticket Holders who have not received their membership cards will be asked to show a business card, company or institute security pass.
• Students of Academic Institutional Members will be asked to show their student ID on entering Chatham House.
• A Member’s guest will only be allowed entry if they are accompanied by the Member.

E-ticketed High Security Members Events

• For high-security meetings no bags, other than handbags and laptop bags, will be allowed in the Joseph Gaggero Hall, but must be left under the stairs with the cloakroom attendant.
• Photographic ID must be presented on request, along with the printed numbered e-ticket.
• A Member’s guest will only be allowed entry if they are accompanied by the Member and must have photographic ID.
