Chatham House: Independent thinking on international affairs

The Martin Wight Memorial Lecture

Martin Wight, Professor of History at the University of Sussex, died suddenly in 1972, at the age of 58. A number of his friends and associates agreed to commemorate him with an annual lecture to be given in successive years at Sussex University, the London School of Economics, and Chatham House. The subject of each lecture - published in International Affairs - reflects the breadth of Martin Wight's interest in history and international relations.
