In January of this year, the Georgian Government unveiled its strategy to re-establish control over the breakaway territories of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Temuri Yakobashvili, Minister for Reintegration, will present Georgia's new approach entitled 'State Strategy on Occupied Territories: Engagement through Cooperation'. He will discuss efforts to build confidence between the parties, including through the Geneva process. Mr Yakobashvili will analyze the prospects for reintegrating the territories, increasing international involvement in the conflict, and the contentious issue of a binding pledge on non-use of force.Temuri Yakobashvili is the State Minister for Reintegration and Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia.Attendance is by invitation only.For more information please contact Alex Nice.
