Afghanistan in 2011: A Survey of the Afghan People
The Asia Foundation will present findings from 'Afghanistan in 2011: A Survey of the Afghan People', a comprehensive public opinion poll covering all 34 provinces. The survey includes face-to-face interviews with approximately 6,500 Afghan men and women on the most pressing issues facing the country, including perceptions of security, corruption, the economy, development, women’s rights, peace and reconciliation.
This year marks the seventh in the Foundation’s series of annual surveys in Afghanistan; taken together they provide a barometer of Afghan public opinion over time. The presentation of the key findings from the survey will be followed by a discussion of the implications and recent trends in Afghanistan.
