As NATO looks to complete the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan at the end of 2014, the Secretary General will discuss NATO’s future priorities. This includes addressing the aspirations of its partners in Europe, the Euro-Atlantic Area and around the globe. He will argue that if NATO is to remain the benchmark for security cooperation, then shared responsibility for leading this endeavour will fall to both North America and Europe.
