The Rio+20 Earth Summit closed amidst widespread dissatisfaction due to the dearth of tangible progress. As part of the Chatham House Debate Series, the panel of speakers will scrutinize whether a top-down approach to tackling global environmental challenges is anachronistic in a multi-polar and leaderless world.
The panel will debate the future of global summitry, the prospects for collective environmental goal-setting, the role of business and the alternative visions that can drive global change.
