Dame Ellen MacArthur will argue that the world's economy and systems of production are inherently unsustainable; industrial processes consume energy and commodities, deplete finite resources and create products that ultimately end up in landfills. She will discuss an alternative model and the possibility of shifting to an economy that is not only sustainable, but regenerative by intention: a circular economy.
