SUMMARY:Zambia's Political and Economic Prospects -
DESCRIPTION:Zambia has historically been considered one of the most politically stable countries in southern Africa. Over the past several years the government has been pursuing a series of business reforms to encourage private sector growth and investment. Yet corruption, bureaucracy and skills shortages continue to frustrate progress.Honourable Minister Mrs Dora Siliya and Mr Muhabi Lungu, a parliamentary candidate in the forthcoming election, will assess the political and economic challenges facing the country moving forward. They will argue that Zambia has achieved stability and democratic progress in recent years, and will outline the current developments and future prospects of the Zambian economy. For more information please contact Tighisti Amare.
