Chatham House: Independent thinking on international affairs

Individual Membership

Joining Chatham House allows you to become part of a network where other members, supporters and speakers with a deep interest in international affairs come together to share ideas and engage in debate.

Individual members* have access to Chatham House publications, Members Events, the Library, and all our Multimedia resources.

Members Events provide a forum where world leaders, policy-makers and opinion formers can be heard and their views discussed in an impartial environment. Receptions allow members to build contacts and network with fellow members, speakers and Chatham House staff. Members have online access to all publications (including archives) and the eLibrary, which contains the Chatham House catalogue and over 1,500 international affairs journals. Members also receive subscriptions to The World Today magazine and International Affairs journal.

*Concessions are available for students, family and under 35s

Web members have access to members-only content on the Chatham House website. Web members can watch live streamed Members Events; access event transcripts, audio and video in full; view all online publications (including archives); and use the eLibrary. Web Members can also attend two Members Events a year.

To apply for individual membership applicants must go through a formal election process (which will take up to two weeks) and agree to the terms and conditions. Access to benefits (including attending events) will only be available once membership has been approved.

Membership for someone else can be purchased through gift membership or by referring a friend. For further information please see the Individual Membership flyer.
