Chatham House: Independent thinking on international affairs

Syria and Lebanon

Our work on Syria and Lebanon is led by Associate Fellows Rime Allaf and Nadim Shehadi, and focuses on the international response to the uprisings in Syria, and issues around transitional justice.

We are currently convening a series of study groups examining future scenarios for Syria, the impact on its neighbours and international policy options. Previous projects on Syria and Lebanon have included working groups on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, and an edited volume on the Kurdish Policy Imperative
