There are now more refugees and displaced people around the world than at any time since the Second World War. As the conflict in Syria forces record numbers to flee and the crisis on Europe's borders grows, Chatham House experts and contributors examine the humanitarian and policy challenges facing the international community.

Chatham House, in partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), is hosting a Forum on Refugee and Migration Policy, to facilitate dialogue between an increasingly diverse group of actors influencing refugee and migration policy globally, enhancing cooperation and contributing to the identification of practical solutions.

The Moving Energy Initiative at Chatham House is a ground-breaking international partnership which examines the provision of sustainable energy for refugees and displaced people, giving particular consideration to the context of the displaced communities, such as their cultural traditions, collective capacities, needs, and technology available to them.
