Current Projects

Current Projects

This project aims to create a neutral ground where policy-makers and opinion leaders from different cultural backgrounds can come together and pragmatically discuss approaches to current strategic challenges.
International Security is undertaking research that seeks to analyse key security challenges in cyberspace, identify policy responses and establish a knowledge base for public and private sector decision-makers and wider society.
Research in this area informs the continuing defence and security debate and assesses future threats and challenges.
Research focuses on terrorism and counter-terrorism and resource security, employing the methodologies of assessment and management of political and strategic risk, including civil contingencies and national resilience.
Developing research in this area aims to deepen understanding of post-conflict reconstruction policy and security sector reform, including Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR), weapons decommissioning and corporate management practices in post-conflict situations. Past work has also focused on health system reconstruction in post-conflict states. Current projects focus on future policy to tackle organized crime and narcotics trafficking.
