Sustainable and Inclusive Growth

Growing income inequality is apparent in many economies across the Asia-Pacific.

The key question is whether countries in the region can shift towards a more inclusive and sustainable pattern of economic growth, that seeks to address poverty, while also recognising resource scarcity and environmental threats.

A key focus of this work considers the national, regional and global impact of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The Asia-Pacific programme analyses key sustainable and inclusive growth and development opportunities across the region in order to provide evidence-based policy analysis and recommendations.
