Biography
Ben leads the Director’s Office at Chatham House. He supports the Director and Chief Executive on planning, strategy and external engagement. He is also responsible for the delivery of Director’s Office projects, including next generation activities such as the Panel of Young Advisers.
Prior to joining the Director’s Office, Ben was a member of the Chatham House communications department. He co-founded and led the Common Futures Conversations project, which facilitates political dialogue between young people and policymakers in Africa and Europe. From 2018-2022 he co-hosted the Chatham House podcast, Undercurrents.
Ben holds an MSc in Public Policy & Management from Birkbeck, University of London and a BA (Hons.) in History & English from the University of Oxford.
He has written on various aspects of youth policy, and has research interests in UK foreign policy, soft power and national identity.
