Biography

Samantha Potter, from Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s degree in English and Legal Studies, minoring in Russian language. As a distinguished graduate, she was awarded the Holaday scholarship to attend Oxford University. At Oxford, Samantha earned an MPhil in International Relations and focused her research on arms control in emerging domains, particularly outer space.

Upon completion of the MPhil, Samantha worked as an Air Force Acquisitions Officer, partnering with private industry to develop a novel software security solution that will now be implemented across 80 Air Force bases worldwide. Now, Samantha is pursuing her Juris Doctorate at Stanford University as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, where she intends to further her research interests in national security and arms control policy. Upon graduation, she will enter the Air Force Judge Advocate Corps as a military lawyer.
