Biography
Silvia Weko is a visiting fellow at Chatham House and a research associate at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, Potsdam.
Her research focuses on the politics of sustainability transitions, and how economic value is created and distributed. This includes work on renewable energy technology transfer, trade flows, and how countries and firms attempt to gain or maintain advantages.
She is a doctoral candidate at the University of Erfurt with the Graduate Center for Effective and Innovative Policymaking in Contested Contexts (EIPCC).
She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Freie Universität Berlin, and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Juniata College.
