Sophia Ignatidou

Sophia Ignatidou has been working as a journalist and digital sub-editor for more than 15 years for national print and online media in London and her home country, Greece.

After an MA in Journalism at Goldsmiths College, London, she went on to work as a freelancer and provide commentary on Greek current affairs at the Guardian, CNN, and the BBC, among others.

Her current research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), media theory, political campaigning, technology, propaganda and surveillance.

She has also completed an MA/PGDip in International Studies and Diplomacy at the School of Oriental and African Studies and as part of her fellowship at Chatham House she has been researching disinformation, artificial intelligence and digital discourse.
