Dr Urvashi Aneja
Associate Fellow, Asia-Pacific Programme (based in India)
Urvashi is an associate fellow with the Asia-Pacific Programme, providing regular insights on themes related to technology and society, and South-South cooperation.
She is also founding director of Tandem Research, where she leads Tandem's Future of Work and AI and Society programs. Her work explores the societal impact of algorithmic decision making systems in India and in the Global South, and frameworks for their governance.
Urvashi has been a member of government committees on Frontier Technology in India and Skills for a Digital India, and has also led knowledge sessions for members of parliament on the use of AI in India.
She is also a member of the T-20 Task Force for the Future of Work in G20 countries. Urvashi has a DPhil from the Department of Politics & International Relation at the University Oxford, UK.
