Biography
Valentina Iemmi is a social scientist with 15 years of research experience in global health policy, in particular governance and financing. Her work investigates why and how global actors support mental health worldwide and how they can improve their collective responses.
She is a fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a research affiliate in the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health at King’s College London. She has previously worked in several academic institutions, including London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and King’s College London. She has consulted for and advised numerous national and international organizations, such as UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and World Health Organization.
Valentina has a PhD in Social Policy from LSE, a MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the LSHTM and LSE, and the title of Clinical Psychologist from the University of Paris.
