James Gaggero is Chairman of the Bland Group, an enterprise established in Gibraltar in 1810 with business interests in Morocco, Spain, Gibraltar and the United Kingdom. Chairing the Boards of all the major companies owned by the Group, James Gaggero has developed a keen interest in international affairs and how these influence the business climate.
One of the Bland Group's principal businesses that James has created, following the sale of its wholly owned airline GB Airways to EasyJet in 2008, is Griffon Hoverwork. A UK based manufacturing business Griffon sells amphibious craft to 44 governments in 6 continents.
James has been a member of Chatham House since the 1990s and was instrumental in providing the financial support necessary to enable the complete refurbishment of the institute's flagship conference facilities during 2009.
