Mark Spelman is a global managing director responsible for thought leadership in Accenture. He leads the organization’s strategic relationship with the World Economic Forum and is a member of WEF’s Global Agenda Council on Europe and a member of their Advisory Board on Sustainability and Competitiveness. He is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executive Council based in Brussels, having been chairman from 2007-10.
He has more than 20 years of experience working with the boards of major corporations on large-scale transformational programmes across multiple businesses and geographies.
His research includes globalization, emerging market growth, and digital strategy. His latest study is 'Remaking Customer Markets: Unlocking Growth with Digital'.
Mark joined Accenture in 1989 and was elected to the Partnership in 1993. He has held various senior leadership roles, including leading the Global Strategy practice.
He is a non-executive director of Sport England and also the Future Cities Catapult.
