Meeting regularly, the International Law Discussion Group (ILDG) brings together diverse communities to discuss topical issues in international relations from an international law perspective.

The group provides an opportunity for policy-makers, lawyers, academics, civil society, diplomats, the military and the media to engage with each other in a constructive and neutral environment. The issues and suggestions for policy and legal responses that arise in these meetings are brought to a wide audience through summaries made available on the Chatham House website. Diverse topics are covered, extending beyond our core research themes. This series enables the  programme to maintain flexibility in responding to both new challenges and opportunities in international law.
