The MENA Programme aims to include youth, women and civil society in traditional policy forums to ensure that policy is informed beyond established elites.

Engaging with a diversity of perspectives for the development of sustainable and representative policies in the MENA region is a core focus of the MENA Programme. With the inclusion of youth, women and civil society in traditional policy forums we seek to bring the most innovative thinking to the debate and aim to ensure that policy is informed beyond established elites.

Areas of work include research on the changing role of civil society and analysis of social welfare reform in the MENA region. Other activities include cross-thematic workshops to facilitate dialogue between regional governments and civil society organizations and the establishment of a sustainable youth-led network of policy analysts across North Africa, through projects such as the 2013 Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiative and the Young Arab Analysts Network International.
