Head, Asia Programme
You will create a vision for the Asia Programme which delivers high quality research and policy analysis as well as develop the financial resources of the programme. You will lead the programme strategically to elevate its status internationally.
Chatham House is consistently ranked as one of the world’s leading policy institutes. Based in London, with a full-time staff of over 150 and 125 Associate Fellows, it provides rigorous and independent analysis on how to build a sustainably secure, prosperous and just world, and engages regularly with world leaders as part of its extensive programme of events. At a time of tumultuous change in global affairs, Chatham House’s profile has risen significantly, as has demand for its research and publications.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of policy-relevant research, fundraising and be an excellent manager and leader of people. You will have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to command attention and respect from stakeholders. It is vital that the successful candidate have a clear strategic vision for the programme and a strong set of goals relating to its research initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of four staff and additional Associate Fellows and take responsibility for the future direction of a highly respected research area within a globally-distinguished think tank.
Applicants must have substantial experience of working within research and management of programmes. A comprehensive understanding of and interest in Asia is essential as well as a publication record in this area. Relevant language skills are an advantage.

Salary: £65,000 - £71,000 (commensurate with experience and skills) plus an annual performance related bonus
