150 Days of Donald Trump

Chatham House, London

Participants

Dr Leslie Vinjamuri, Associate Fellow, US and the Americas Programme, Chatham House

Chair: Marianne Schneider-Petsinger, Geoeconomics Fellow, US and the Americas Programme, Chatham House

Overview

19 June marks 150 days since Donald Trump was sworn in as president of the United States of America. During his first 100 days, President Trump failed to fulfil his major election pledges and had an approval rating of 40-42 per cent: the lowest for any first-term president at this point in their tenure. Have the following 50 days proved any different?

Leslie Vinjamuri will reflect on the administration's domestic and foreign policy priorities over the first 150 days of Trump’s presidency. What has been Trump’s main focus over these first five months in power? What can we expect in the future? And what are the potential international implications of the ongoing domestic troubles being experienced by the Trump administration?

To enable as open a debate as possible, this event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

This event is only open to Major Corporate Member and Partner organizations of Chatham House. If you would like to register your interest, please RSVP to Linda Bedford.
