Achievements and Challenges Towards Gender Equality
In recent years, numerous studies and reports have concluded that empowering women and promoting full female economic participation across all sectors is fundamental to achieving sustainable growth. Unfortunately, although awareness of gender issues has increased, progress is still very slow and research conducted by the World Economic Forum (Global Gender Gap Report 2015) states that it will take another 118 years to close the global gender gap.
This roundtable will examine not only the challenges that the private sector must overcome to achieve gender parity, but also recent achievements. In particular, participants will discuss successful strategies to increase female participation on boards and more generally in the labour market, best practice to reduce pay gaps and encourage career-progression, and innovative initiatives to address work-life challenges faced by working parents and carers.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
