Overview

Angola is seeking to diversify its economy away from oil, and one of the investment priorities outlined by the government is the mining sector. The country is the world’s fourth largest diamond producer and exploration for other minerals is ongoing. In 2011 a revised mining code was introduced to make regulations clearer. Minister Quiroz will outline Angola’s mining reform and discuss the investment opportunities that the sector offers.
