The Asia Foundation will present findings from Afghanistan in 2016: A Survey of the Afghan People - a comprehensive perceptions poll covering all 34 provinces. The survey includes face-to-face interviews with approximately 12,658 Afghan men and women on the most pressing issues facing the country: migration, governance, security, the economy, women in society, and others.
Started in 2004, this year marks the 11th consecutive wave in the foundation’s series of annual surveys in Afghanistan; taken together they provide a barometer of Afghan public opinion over time.
The presentation of the key findings from the survey will be followed by a discussion of their implications with a selection of Afghanistan experts. The panellists will also offer their own remarks about the most pressing issues facing the country.
