Africa'€™s Population Growth and Youth Unemployment: Implications and Policy Response

4 July 2014 - 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Chatham House, London

With Africa’s rapidly growing population and millions of young people entering the labour market each year, many countries are grappling with challenges relating to unemployment, underemployment and insecure or low-paid jobs.

Marking AFFORD’s African Diaspora and Development Day (AD3) 2014, this event will focus on job creation in Africa as essential to poverty reduction and development. It will bring together experts and stakeholders working in the areas of economic justice and job creation to discuss strategies and the role the diaspora can play in skills and vocational training and employment generation.

This event is being co-hosted with The African Foundation for Development (AFFORD).
