Chatham House, London

International Law Programme, The Limits on War and Preserving the Peace

Overview

This roundtable will bring together a small group of experts to discuss the issue of aiding and assisting in the context of armed conflict and counterterrorism. In particular, it will consider relevant thresholds under Article 16 of the International Law Commission’s Draft Articles on State Responsibility; other rules of international law that may be relevant to aiding and assisting, including international human rights law; and strategies for states to minimize the risk of assisting in other states’ unlawful acts.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
