Overview

The speaker will discuss the so-called US 'pivot' or 'rebalance' to Asia, and the challenges and opportunities that remain. He will give special attention to the origins, domestic politics and personnel critical to the strategy’s formulation and discuss the road ahead in the remaining two years of the US administration, as well as the expectations in the region of US policy.
