Overview

Speculation over who will succeed President Dos Santos is rife despite the ruling MPLA party signalling that it will only formally debate this in 2016, ahead of the 2017 elections. At this roundtable meeting, Elisabete Azevedo-Harman will present the main findings of her recent research trip to Angola, and give an overview of the country’s political trajectory, including the succession debate.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
