Since taking office in 2015, Argentina’s president, Mauricio Macri, has implemented plans to gradually reform and normalize the economy and set the conditions for long-term, stable growth, prioritzing the eradication of poverty, the strengthening of institutions and combating the trade in illegal drugs.
Chief of Cabinet, Marcos Peña, will outline the views of the Argentine government on the political and socio-economic outlook for the country and the region. He will set out Argentina’s G20 presidency priorities, which include structural and institutional reforms, infrastructure, the future of work, inclusive growth and the commitment to promote a free-trade agenda.
