Ahead of the UK general election, the panel will explore the political and economic landscape the newly elected government will face. Following the withdrawal of British forces from Afghanistan and the public’s unease at intervening in Syria, the speakers will consider the shape of defence and security policy in the next parliament. They will also offer their thoughts on what to expect from the forthcoming Strategic Defence and Security Review.
