China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: A Game Changer for the Region?

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a major development project intended to rapidly expand Pakistan’s energy & transport infrastructure through the construction of a network of highways, railways, pipelines, power plants and other projects. The initiative indicates expanded bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China and aims to deepen economic links. In this briefing, Pakistan’s federal minister for planning and development will assess the progress of the project and consider how it could boost economic growth in Pakistan and across the region.
