China’s Energy Interests with Russia and Eurasia
Tao Wang, Assistant Director, Yicai Research Institute
China is a relatively new force in the former Soviet space, but indisputably a significant one, offering solutions but posing challenges to other regional players – not least the economies and societies of Central Asia for example. In the energy sphere, there have been substantial bilateral achievements and China’s share of trade in the region has increased markedly. At the same time many deals remain opaque or unconfirmed.
Tao Wang will offer a crucial Chinese perspective on the future of Eurasian energy and its implications for China, the wider region and the West.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
