The Chinese Communist Party will devote its biggest meeting this year to the rule of law but what are the debates in China about international law, especially on human rights? This four day event is an opportunity for Chinese international law academics to present their thinking and exchange ideas with counterparts from outside China and to build a stronger understanding within the wider international law community of intellectual discussions in China about the international human rights system and China's role within it. This event will be held in collaboration with China University of Political Science and Law and forms part of a wider Chatham House project on China and the international human rights system.
