However, despite the improving outlook, sustaining the economic recovery in Europe faces challenges. These challenges include a changing policy context and resolving legacies from the crisis. It is in this context, Carlos Martinez Mongay will present the European Commission's latest macroeconomic forecast, highlighting the views of the European Commission on the outlook for the European economy and on the risks posed by these challenges.

The presentation will take place shortly after the release of the European Commission's forecast, which serves as a basis for a number of its economic surveillance procedures.

This briefing will be a part of Chatham House’s International Financial Institution (IFI) Briefing series where institutions share their thinking with leaders in business, government and academia.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
