Overview

In light of the crackdown on opposition politicians, civil society and the media in Cambodia, the speaker will discuss the current political situation in the country in the run up to elections scheduled for 2018. He will also speak about the relationship with China and its influence on Cambodia’s domestic political scene and the role the international community could play in ensuring fair and free elections and a respect for human rights.
