The speakers will discuss Japan’s current demographic challenges and the role that women could play in helping to tackle the demographic deficit in Japan. They will explore prime minister Abe’s policy of ‘womenomics’ – an effort to improve women’s advancement in society and their workforce participation – and assess its success so far.
