Developing Ghana: Policies for Prosperity
Nana Akufo-Addo, Leader, New Patriotic Party (NPP)
Chair: Dr Alex Vines OBE, Research Director, Area Studies and International Law; Head, Africa Programme, Chatham House
With decelerated growth in 2014, a large current account deficit and growing social challenges pertaining to the cost of living and service delivery, Ghana is facing mounting pressure to resolve long-standing matters of governance and economic management. Following the opposition New Patriotic Party's (NPP) internal elections in the final quarter of 2014, the party will play a crucial role in seeking alternative policy solutions to the challenges the country faces.
At this roundtable meeting, Nana Akufo-Addo, leader of the NPP, will present his view on Ghana’s trajectory, the policy environment, and discuss the NPP’s vision for the country.
Attendance is by invitation only.
