Professor Abbas Milani, Hamid and Christina Moghadam Director of Iranian Studies, Stanford University
Chair: Sharan Tabari, Senior Adviser, Legatum Institute

The speaker will argue that Iranian society and the Islamic regime is moving towards a new ‘social contract’ wherein different perceptions of politics, culture and women’s rights will have more share in shaping policy - domestic, global, nuclear and cultural. He will argue that Iran’s future, including its role regionally and globally, will depend on the success of these domestic negotiations.
