Overview

This event marks the UK launch of the International Energy Agency (IEA) publication Energy Technology Perspectives 2014: Harnessing Electricity’s Potential (ETP 2014). During the event, Maria van der Hoeven, executive director of the IEA, will present the ETP 2014, which offers a comprehensive, long-term analysis of trends in the energy sector - and of the technologies that are essential to achieving an affordable, secure and low-carbon system. Starting from the premise that electricity will be an increasingly important vector in energy systems of the future, ETP 2014 takes a deep dive into actions needed to support deployment of sustainable options for generation, distribution and end-use consumption.

This event is jointly hosted by Chatham House and The Grantham Institute, Imperial College London. Attendance is strictly by invitation only.
