Enhancing Abenomics: Can Monetary and Fiscal Policies Do More?
Four years into the policy experiment, and despite the initial wide-spread enthusiasm and some promising early indicators, Abenomics has under-delivered. For many commentators, it increasingly appears at the risk of failure. Andrew Rozanov presents his findings and policy recommendations aimed at enhancing and strengthening Abenomics.
This workshop will focus on the first two arrows – ‘bold’ monetary and ‘flexible’ fiscal policies. The focus of the subsequent workshop will be exclusively on the third arrow – ‘growth-enhancing’ structural reforms.
Throughout both seminars, our objective will be to explore how Japan’s policy-makers can increase their chances of success, by making the three arrows more comprehensive, consistent and coordinated.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
