Elizabeth Quintana, Senior Research Fellow, Futures and Technology, RUSI
Chair: Hannah Bryce, Assistant Head, International Security Department, Chatham House
Improvements in machine learning and artificial intelligence are already having a significant impact on employment. Google has suggested that robots will reach human levels of intelligence by 2029 and IT research firm Gartner estimates that one-third of jobs will be replaced by robots and smart machines by 2025. But which industries will be most impacted and when?
Our panel will look at the impact of improving AI across a number of different sectors. Which jobs and industries are likely to see the greatest change? What will be the impact on how people view their career in relation to other aspects of their life? And given the impact on careers, how can the education and training sectors adapt to prepare students and workers for such a rapidly changing jobs market?
This event is open to corporate members only.

This event will be preceded by an informal, welcome reception from 12:15.
