Overview

This event will analyse the role of foreign fighters from the North Caucasus and Central Asia in the Syrian civil war. It will also address recent developments in the North Caucasus insurgency and its links to the global jihad, including ideological and logistical issues and the impact of returnees. The speakers will offer brief initial remarks, followed by questions and discussion.

This event is held in partnership with the University of Birmingham. Attendance is by invitation only.
