As votes for right-wing parties grow at the expense of the traditional centre-left, the panel will discuss the implications for Israeli politics and consider whether Israel is moving away from a liberal democratic model towards a more ethnically defined one. In addition, the panel will look at the evolution of the political ideas and philosophies that were the origins of the right’s ideological bedrock and consider the compromises that have been made in its journey to government.
