Overview

This two-day workshop is part of a series exploring the role of humanitarian organizations in responding to a nuclear detonation and the effects of nuclear testing. The workshop is meant to foster dialogue between humanitarian organizations, NGOs, academics and governments. Day one will examine the nature of a nuclear detonation, the medical and environmental impacts, regional effects and international initiatives to explore the humanitarian impacts of a nuclear detonation. On day two, there will be interactive discussions based on a scenario to further examine the response plans and options in case of a nuclear detonation.

This event is being held in partnership with La Trobe Law School.
